NAASAP Logic Model

Goal: to establish an after school community arts program for Native American young people that will result in increased cultural pride, community participation, and intergenerational reverence.

A resident community artist

Time from guest speakers, artists community members

Support from host organization (space and utilities at a school or community center until a permanent location is established)

Support from community organizations (in the form of time and access)

Support and time from Native American Senior Citizens group

 

Resident Community Artist and Native American young people (who attend school and are not truant) meet at least one time a week for community arts programming after school

Guest speakers and community members will visit from time to time

Young people create art together during this time

The young people will visit the Native American Senior Citizens group for lunch

The young people will visit Native American community centers, such as the Baltimore American Indian Center

Young people participate in culminating events (art shows or other events)

Native American young people will:

gain art skills.

create art work that is meaningful to them and others.

bring recognition to their community and to the Native American Program.

The Youth and the Seniors will:

become personally acquainted.
